Aeroplane framing and building is now being taught by the L.C.C. at Ferndale-road School, Brixton. Women are being trained as aeroplane assemblers and it is found that the work is quite within their capabilities. The training is free and lasts three or four weeks. Twenty-five shillings a week is paid during the course to each pupil willing to accept a post away from home. Others receive 18s. per week. Railway fare is paid for pupils coming from the country.
