Francis Alÿs

Born Antwerp, Belgium, 1959, Alÿs studied architecture at the Institut d'Architecture de Tournai, Belgium, and the Istituto di Architettura di Venezia, Italy. His first one-person show was held in Mexico City in 1991. Alÿs now lives and works in Mexico City and London. He is represented by Galerie Peter Kilchmann, Zurich and David Zwirner Gallery, New York.
