Johann Georg von Dillis

Dillis's work spans two epochs and is almost entirely devoted to the subject of landscape. He made the occasional formal composition on commission, but the vast bulk of his output consisted of works both drawn and painted directly from nature, with a special interest in picturesque and informal landscape details.
